This season the SMFC presented a very special concert to honor the return of our men and women serving in the armed forces! Titled American Homecoming, the event was a proud celebration of our country’s heritage and a stirring tribute to our nation’s military. The event sought to raise awareness and funds for locally-based veterans’ charity, Homes for Our Troops, and in April several of our members traveled to Granby, MA to take part in the groundbreaking of the organization’s latest project. Also, in June, SMFC was honored to participate in the dedication ceremonies for Taunton’s new Global War on Terrorism Memorial.
