The Taunton High School Auditorium became a feast for the eyes and ears when SMFC presented its 2009 holiday spectacular. Snow-covered blue and silver trees, set among a blanket of white poinsettias, provided the perfect setting for this presentation of holiday pop classics. The concert included the premiere of a commissioned arrangement, Moon of Winter, penned by Canadian composer Vince Gassi, who traveled to Southeastern Massachusetts for the event to guest conduct the piece. Also appearing were Boston’s premiere handbell choir, the Back Bay Ringers, as well as SMFC Idol Search winner, Brittany Quinn. SMFC repeated its performance the following day in a benefit concert held at the St. Thomas Church of Bridgewater.
